To Promote the safe practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Maine
To Provide Acupuncture and Oriental medicine as a model for high quality health care that treats illness and supports continued health and wellness
To Expand and increase public awareness, understanding and knowledge of the health enhancing benefits of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine treatment
To Act as professional advocates for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, its acceptance and advancement within Maine, our nation and internationally
To Provide and promote opportunity for the active participation of our membership within our organization and to provide professional representation for our profession at the organizational, state, and national levels
To Foster professional development and support educational opportunities in Maine
To Promote and work to improve wider consumer access with fair reimbursement for services provided by Licensed Acupuncturist, as defined by the current Maine scope of practice for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
To Encourage Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine research and outcomes based studies that will promote the advancement of the profession
